Happy Meals Combat Depression and Anger | Humor

Happy Meals Combat Depression and Anger
By Andy Alt / Mental Dimensions

Sep 21, 2005 – I told my psychiatrist that I didn’t want to take any more antidepressants. I probably confused him when I shouted, “I just can’t take it anymore!” We discussed alternatives and I decided that the right combination of Happy Meals and “Happy Days” episodes might be a suitable substitute. He profusely disagreed with my reasoning, so I killed him. Afterward, I bought a Happy Meal but it didn’t really improve my mood very much. I still felt like I needed to kill some psychiatrists, and then gradually work my way down to psychologists, nurses, pharmacists, orderlies, then maybe just regular people on the street who irritate me by disagreeing with me. Finding the right way to express emotions is important to good mental health, and when I get my GPS device fixed, it will help me find things better. In the meantime, I will keep looking for Happy Meals wherever I see the McMentalDisorder logo, next to the number of pills and Happy Meals that have been passed out.
