If you don’t wish to be victimized by your children then don’t give them your new home address when you move.
Solving problems by using humor, denial, avoidance, delusions, and blasphemy, but occasionally slipping into the black hole of reality

FDA Complicit in Pushing Pharmaceutical Drugs (http://www.projectcensored.org/top-stories/articles/23-fda-complicit-in-pushing-pharmaceutical-drugs/)
While the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) turns a blind eye, drug companies are making false, unsubstantiated, and misleading claims in their advertising, often withholding mandated disclosure of dangerous side effects. Though companies are required to submit their advertisements to the FDA, the agency does not review them before they are released to the public. A Government Accountability Office report released November 2006 found that the FDA reviews only a small portion of the advertisements it receives, and does not review them using consistent criteria.

I enjoy watching television, but sometimes I must limit myself. Subtle changes in my behavior and social skills have appeared recently. To benefit mankind I’m issuing this document as a warning on how to detect potential negative changes in your personality and how you communicate with other humans.
Three days ago my friend Depressed Dave asked me what my plans were for the weekend. I slowly raised my head, looked him in the eye and in a deep, scratchy voice I replied, “Plans? My plans will be revealed in due course. For now, be assured that once executed my schemes will bring forth everything we have ever dreamed of; the fruit born will be sweeter than you could ever imagine; and the way we view a sunrise will be forever altered.” Continue reading ‘Watching television excessively may damage social skills’

So, I spent Christmas Eve and Day with my sister. On Christmas Day we indulged in tender, juicy roast beef and real, creamy mashed potatoes smothered in finger licking homemade gravy. As a way of expressing my gratitude, I made the statement to my sister, “I don’t know how you do some of the things you do”, who generously yet spontaneously prepared the delightful meal. Her response without expressing much hesitation was, “I like to keep myself busy because it helps take my mind off living and gets me that much closer to the end of the day so I can go to sleep.”

Coping with Depression, Naked Association Therapy
By Andy Alt / Mental Dimensions
Dec 14, 2008 — Major depression, minor depression, and tidbits of depression are well-known thieves of motivation and energy. Our energy is often depleted by the daily grind of staying sane, convincing ourselves that we’re not insane, forgiving ourselves if we’ve become insane, and checking the mail every week. After we’ve exhausted our limited resources checking the mail, nothing remains to fuel us in our efforts to accomplish necessary, mundane, and routine tasks. When Someone Moves Away

When someone moves away
There’s a heavy price to pay
One heart separated by one mind
The emotions you’ll feel will be unkind
You don’t how you’ll survive
Every day will seem like five
The path home will be a trail of pain
And never can be washed away by rain

Treat Yourself to Depression, Anxiety, or other Mental Illness Today
By Andy Alt / Mental Dimensions
Sep 1, 2008 – Earlier tonight, I was watching some of the vandalism and violence that happened in St. Paul, MN today. I had a sudden revelation: “People are crazy.” It’s a thought that brought much comfort to me, because I too have been diagnosed with various mental illnesses.
After my revelation, I thought of myself. To people who know me well, I’m regarded as kind, decent, honest, ethical, fair, and generous. I’m speaking in general terms — no one thinks I’m perfect, not even me. There are, however, also a few people who know me and see ugly character traits. Some adjectives and adverbs that have been used against me are: weak, cowardly, lazy, weird, odd, strange, and overly-impulsive.
